1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Special Edition Set to Cross the Block at Barrett-Jackson

1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Special Edition Set to Cross the Block at Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach Auction

A true piece of American muscle car history is headed to the 2025 Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach Auction with no reserve — a stunning 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Special Edition, Y82 SE. This iconic classic is one of only 2,699 produced and features its original W72 400ci V8 engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission.

Finished in freshly repainted Starlight Black with new Special Edition decals, this Trans Am captures the essence of late ’70s performance and style. The factory red oxide undercarriage remains in excellent condition, underscoring the car’s originality and care over the years.

Inside, the Deluxe Black (code 19B) interior offers factory air conditioning, power windows and locks, and the desirable Hurst T-Tops — perfect for open-air cruising. The factory 15×7 Snowflake wheels have been refinished and are wrapped in brand-new BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.

With just 46,240 miles on the odometer (title reads exempt), this car is accompanied by its original Window Sticker, Build Sheet, and full PHS documentation. It will be offered with No Reserve during the April 24–26 event at the South Florida Fairgrounds.

Don’t miss your chance to own this well-documented, highly sought-after piece of Trans Am history. More information : Barrett-Jackson
