2026 Toyota Corolla Cross Adds Bold Styling, Tech Upgrades, and Hybrid Efficiency
Toyota refines its popular entry-level SUV with striking design updates, enhanced technology, and improved comfort for the 2026 model year.
PLANO, Texas – The 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross arrives with a fresh attitude, offering sharper styling, upgraded tech, and a continued focus on efficiency and value. As the compact SUV segment remains highly competitive, Toyota strengthens its foothold with meaningful changes across both the gasoline and hybrid variants.
Distinct New Faces for Gas and Hybrid Models

One of the most noticeable changes comes at the front, where the Corolla Cross receives two redesigned fascias tailored to each powertrain. Hybrid models now feature a sleek, body-colored grille that gives them a modern and refined appearance. In contrast, gasoline-powered variants adopt a more rugged and wide-open grille design, emphasizing a bold crossover identity.
Toyota also expands the Corolla Cross color palette with the addition of Cavalry Blue, available on select trims, and introduces a two-tone Cavalry Blue with Jet Black roof option for the sportier SE and XSE Hybrid grades.
Interior Enhancements and Advanced Tech Integration
Inside, the 2026 Corolla Cross benefits from a reworked center console for improved storage and functionality. Tech gets a major boost with the available 10.5-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen, now standard on top trims and optional on mid-tier models. A digital 12.3-inch gauge cluster is available, offering a high-end cockpit experience.
For added convenience in colder climates, heated front seats and a heated steering wheel are now standard on higher trims like the XLE AWD and Hybrid XSE, and offered as part of a Cold Weather Package on others.

Hybrid Efficiency Meets All-Wheel Confidence
The Hybrid lineup (S, SE, and XSE) incorporates Toyota’s fifth-generation Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) system, delivering 196 horsepower and standard Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive. It boasts an impressive manufacturer-estimated 42 MPG combined rating, offering performance and efficiency in equal measure.
Gasoline models (L, LE, and XLE) continue with the 2.0-liter Dynamic Force engine producing 169 horsepower. Available in both front- and all-wheel drive, these trims offer up to 32 MPG combined in FWD guise, and 30 MPG with AWD.
Feature-Packed and Family-Ready
Built on the TNGA-C platform, the Corolla Cross blends agile handling with SUV practicality. Standard 60/40-split rear seats, available power liftgate, and up to 1,500 lbs of towing capacity enhance its everyday usability. New 18-inch alloy wheel designs—dark gray for XLE and black for XSE—bring added style to the package.
Inside, material options range from fabric on base trims to SofTex® with mixed media accents on higher ones. Premium features such as dual-zone climate control, a power moonroof, wireless device charging, and a JBL® nine-speaker sound system are also available.
Safety First with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0

All 2026 Corolla Cross models come equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, which includes key features like adaptive cruise control, lane tracing assist, pre-collision warning with pedestrian detection, and proactive driving assist. Toyota’s STAR Safety System and nine standard airbags round out a comprehensive approach to occupant protection.
Built in the U.S., Backed by ToyotaCare
Assembled in Huntsville, Alabama, the 2026 Corolla Cross continues Toyota’s commitment to quality and durability. Each model comes with a three-year/36,000-mile basic warranty, with hybrid components covered for up to 10 years or 150,000 miles. Buyers also receive complimentary scheduled maintenance and roadside assistance for two years through ToyotaCare.

Arriving Late 2025
Set to arrive in dealerships later this year, the 2026 Corolla Cross offers a versatile lineup with something for every compact SUV shopper—whether they prioritize fuel savings, sporty styling, or all-weather capability.
