Hamilton Fired Up for First Monaco Outing in Ferrari Red
Lewis Hamilton is full of energy and anticipation as he prepares for his maiden Monaco Grand Prix weekend with Ferrari, marking yet another chapter in his fresh journey with the legendary Italian team.
Coming off an encouraging performance at Imola, where he carved his way to a season-best P4 finish outside of Sprint events, Hamilton is eager to carry that momentum into the streets of Monte Carlo. While Ferrari faced a disappointing qualifying in their home race, both Hamilton and teammate Charles Leclerc showed strong race pace to salvage crucial points.
“Imola gave us some positives to work from,” Hamilton said during Thursday’s press briefings. “There’s still a lot we’re unpacking, but I was straight back on the simulator Monday, working with the engineers. Hopefully, that effort pays off here.”
Monaco presents a different kind of test. With its unforgiving layout and overtaking at a premium, qualifying performance will be more critical than ever—an area Ferrari has yet to master consistently this season.

“Driving a Ferrari here is something I’ve dreamed of,” he said with a smile. “I’ve never taken this car around these streets, so it’s going to be a new experience. Ferrari has a strong legacy in Monaco, and to be part of that now is surreal.”
Hamilton reflected on his early career with McLaren, remembering the impact of arriving in Monaco with one of the sport’s most iconic liveries. Now, the thrill is multiplied as he dons the famous red.
“It’s crazy to think I’m about to drive a Ferrari around Monte Carlo. Every weekend still feels like the first with this team—new challenges, new emotions. But this one is special. I don’t even know if I’ll sleep tonight,” he laughed. “I’m really buzzing.”
As the championship heats up, Hamilton sits sixth in the standings, just behind Leclerc. Meanwhile, Ferrari trails McLaren by a considerable margin in the Constructors’ battle. Still, there’s a growing sense of optimism within the Scuderia camp.
If Hamilton can channel his excitement into a strong performance on one of the most iconic circuits in motorsport, Ferrari fans could be in for something special this weekend.
