BMW Motorrad Unveils Concept RR at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este
A Bold Glimpse Into the Future of BMW Superbikes
At the illustrious Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este on Lake Como, BMW Motorrad has introduced its latest visionary creation—the BMW Motorrad Concept RR. Representing a fusion of cutting-edge design and race-proven technology, the Concept RR previews the next generation of BMW’s high-performance RR superbikes.
Markus Flasch, Head of BMW Motorrad, emphasized the significance of the debut: “Never before has BMW Motorrad offered such an early insight into the future of its RR lineup. The Concept RR is a testament to the innovation and dedication of our engineering team. Inspired by the dominant performance of the BMW M 1000 RR in the World Superbike Championship, this concept defines the next level of performance for road and track.”
Engineering Inspired by Championship Racing
The Concept RR is directly influenced by BMW’s factory superbike, the M 1000 RR—ridden to victory by Toprak Razgatlıoğlu in the FIM Superbike World Championship. It features the same water-cooled inline four-cylinder engine, delivering over 230 hp (169 kW), offering intense power and acceleration designed for both racing circuits and public roads.
Advanced electronic systems, including race-spec traction control, engine braking management, and engine electronics, have been transferred from the WorldSBK machine, reinforcing BMW’s commitment to transferring race technology to consumer models.

Revolutionizing Lightweight Design and Aerodynamics
With extensive use of high-performance materials such as carbon fiber and aluminum, the Concept RR sets a new standard in lightweight engineering. Every component, from the chassis to the smallest parts, is optimized for minimal weight and maximum performance.
The aerodynamics are just as impressive. BMW Motorrad’s engineers focused on achieving high-speed stability, peak cornering capability, and reduced drag. The result is an aggressively compact build, a sculpted fairing with integrated winglets, and strategically ventilated components that optimize airflow through and around the motorcycle.
Even the rear of the bike features aerodynamic ventilation, with an embossed RR logo and illuminated detailing—highlighting both function and form.

Concept RR LTD Jacket: The Perfect Pairing
In line with the unveiling, BMW Motorrad introduced the Concept RR LTD jacket, a limited-edition piece crafted from premium calf Nappa leather. Designed in collaboration with renowned Bavarian brand MEINDL, only 50 units will be produced. The jacket represents BMW Motorrad’s ongoing dedication to safety, comfort, and lifestyle aesthetics—a legacy it has upheld for over 45 years.
Note to Riders
BMW reminds enthusiasts that the Concept RR may feature modified components not developed or approved by BMW, which could affect the bike’s performance. Modifying production motorcycles is at the owner’s own risk, and BMW bears no liability for such changes.
