Rolls-Royce has been using the “Black Badge” designation for high-performance versions of its models since 2016, but never before for an electric vehicle.
Instead of the trusty V12 engine under the long bonnet, the Spectre Black Badge has a fully electric drivetrain, but with even more power to earn its place at the top of the Goodwood hierarchy.
The Rolls-Royce Spectre Black Badge has 667 hp and 1,074 Nm of torque.
Although it doesn’t have a 6.75-liter V12, this model is the most powerful Rolls-Royce ever launched by the BMW Group-owned brand. Compared to the standard Spectre, it adds 82 hp and 174 Nm, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (0-96 km/h) in just 4.1 seconds, 0.3 seconds faster than before.

For maximum performance, Rolls-Royce has added a new Infinity Mode, which is activated by pressing a button on the steering wheel.
This feature allows the driver to take advantage of all 667 hp, faster throttle response and a sportier look of the digital instrument cluster. There is also Spirited Mode, which functions as launch control, allowing temporary access to full torque for even more explosive acceleration
Improved driving dynamics
In addition to the additional power, the Spectre Black Badge has also received improved shock absorbers.
The steering is now “heavier”, and the roll stabilization system improves responsiveness and reduces body roll.
However, the increased power comes at the cost of range. While the standard Spectre can cover 446 km on a single charge, the Black Badge version with 22-inch wheels offers 428 km.
If you opt for 23-inch wheels, the range drops further to 404 km.
Exclusive personalization options
In addition to the additional power, the Black Badge Spectre also offers new customization options. Exclusive wheels, a new Vapor Violet color with an Iced Black hood and a unique line add even more luxury to this model.
As with other Black Badge versions, chrome details are darkened, and the front grille is illuminated.
In promotional photos, the grille has a purple background, coordinated with the body color, while customers can also choose shades of Charles Blue, Chartreuse, Forge Yellow or Turquoise.
Luxurious interior
The interior of the Spectre Black Badge model brings a combination of carbon fiber, metal and fine wood.
The piano-black instrument panel includes 5,500 illuminated stars and a luminous Infinity symbol, which appears in several places in the cabin.
Rolls-Royce says that each piece of the interior is coated with six layers of lacquer, then hand-polished to perfection.
Customers can further personalize the digital instruments, choosing from one of five available themes.
Rolls-Royce is asking $490,000 for the Spectre Black Badge, making it $67,250 more expensive than the standard model.
