BMW M4 CS Edition VR46

The M4 CS Edition VR46 is a special edition of the Bavarian sports coupe, created in honor of legendary MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi and his 46th birthday (and racing number 46). BMW will offer the car in a choice of two specifications, Sport and Style, both of which will be produced in limited editions of 46 cars each.

The Sport model has a Marina Bay Sans Blue finish with Tanzanite Blue decals. The Style version switches to a matte Tanzanite Blue, with decals in the same color, but with a contrasting glossy finish.

There are also yellow accents on the wheels, along the base of the boot lid and at the top of the windows.

Carbon fiber elements remain, including the roof, mirror caps, bumper inserts, front splitter and rear spoiler.

Inside, a similar approach is taken, with contrasting elements in yellow. The seats are in a new combination of black and blue leather, with yellow contrast stitching and unique illuminated VR46 plates.

Customers also get a special two-day experience in Italy. This all-expenses-paid trip will include a barbecue at Rossi’s VR46 Motor Ranch, plus a day at the Misano World Circuit for an exclusive BMW M Driver’s Experience with the latest BMW M models.

Under the hood of the M4 CS is a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine with 405 kW/550 hp and 650 Nm of torque, coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is 3.4 seconds, and to 200 km/h comes in 11.1 seconds. For acceleration from 80 to 120 km/h in 4th gear, the company quotes a time of just 2.6 seconds, and from 100 to 200 km/h just 7.7 seconds.

When it comes to top speed, the new M4 CS does not have the usual 250 km/h limit because it is equipped with the M Driver’s Package as standard and can reach 302 km/h.

There is also an active exhaust system, 20 and 21-inch wheels, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.9-inch infotainment screen, seat belts with M-tricolor stitching…

In the end, the M4 CS laps the Nürburgring in 7:21.989 minutes.
