Hennessey has unveiled its new Super Venom, which follows the Shelby GT350 and packs even more power. Under the hood is Ford’s 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine, which has been given improved injectors, a new engine management system, and a high-performance supercharger. There’s also a high-flow air intake system, as well as a new fuel pump.
Thanks to the changes, the engine now delivers 862 hp and 880 Nm of torque, which allows the Venom to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and cover 402 meters in 10.9 seconds, reaching a speed of 214 km/h. Compared to the standard Dark Horse model equipped with an automatic transmission, an improvement of 0.5 seconds, 1.1 seconds and 23.5 km/h.
While we have seen similar performance improvements from Hennessey in the past, this model is notable for featuring the VenomAero carbon fiber package, which includes a front splitter, hood vents, functional front fender vents, sports sills, a new trunk lid with integrated spoiler and a fixed rear wing. The changes improve handling and grip when the car is driven hard on the road or track.
Not to be forgotten are the mirror housings and lightweight 20-inch wheels, as well as Hennessey badging and a three-livery package in black, silver and red.
Interior changes are more modest, and include leather and Alcantara seats with embossed backrests. There are also floor mats, as well as an individually numbered plaque on the dashboard.
The Super Venom can be based on the Mustang GT or Mustang Dark Horse, and buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission.

Production will be limited to 91 examples priced at $149,950 for the GT and $163,950 for the Dark Horse, and includes the standard Mustang.
