Mercedes Aims for Momentum in Miami as Sprint Weekend Returns
As Formula One heads stateside for the first of three North American races this season, the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team arrives in Miami with eyes set firmly on progress. With the Florida heat, a unique circuit, and the second Sprint weekend of the season ahead, the team is focused on translating early-season consistency into top-tier competitiveness.
Team Principal Toto Wolff struck a confident yet measured tone ahead of the weekend, emphasizing the importance of continued improvement.

“We’ve had a good start to the season, but we take nothing for granted,” Wolff said. “The first five races have laid a solid foundation, and now it’s about building on that momentum. Saudi Arabia presented some challenges, but we gained valuable insights, particularly with similar tyre compounds and high temperatures expected again in Miami. That gives us hope for a more competitive showing.”
The Miami Grand Prix, now in its fourth edition, has quickly become one of the sport’s marquee events — a blend of sport, spectacle, and culture. For Mercedes, it’s also an opportunity to engage off-track, with a slate of high-profile events complementing their on-track ambitions.
“Miami is an iconic city and this Grand Prix has become a set-piece in the F1 calendar,” Wolff added. “This year we’re activating in a big way — film premieres, technology forums, hospitality, and the debut of our special edition adidas collaboration all tie into our broader celebration of both the city’s energy and our team’s identity.”
As the paddock rolls into the Hard Rock Stadium under the South Florida sun, the message from Brackley is clear: performance remains the top priority — but with a bold sense of style to match.
