Two Powerhouse Models: V6 and V8 Options
Debuting at the renowned Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale on October 11, 2024, the new Shelby Baja Raptors will be available in limited quantities through authorized Shelby dealers nationwide. The two models—the V6-powered Shelby Baja Raptor and the V8-powered Shelby Raptor R—are engineered to deliver exceptional performance for off-road adventurers.

Shelby’s involvement with the Ford Raptor began in 2013 and has evolved significantly over the years. The new models build on Shelby’s extensive experience with performance trucks and their success with the 2020-2022 Shelby GT500 supercars.
Gary Patterson, president of Shelby American, shared his perspective on the new models: “We launched our first Shelby edition Ford Raptor not long after our founder Carroll Shelby passed away. As Carroll was personally involved in the direction of that V8-powered muscle truck, it was a tribute to his vision of a high-performance off-road companion to the Shelby GT500 Mustang. The truck was a great success, and for the 2024 model year, we are celebrating Shelby’s long off-road heritage with both a V6 and V8 powered Shelby Raptor.”

The 2024 Shelby Ford F-150 Baja Raptor offers a significant performance boost compared to previous models. The V6-powered version delivers up to 550 horsepower, with an impressive list of features that will captivate any off-road enthusiast. For those seeking ultimate performance, the V8-powered Shelby Raptor R packs over 900 horsepower, thanks to a Shelby-tuned Borla performance exhaust and a Shelby by Whipple supercharger, which includes a Bengal Red powder-coated 3.8L supercharger and intake manifold.
Vince LaViolette, Shelby American Vice President of Operations and Chief Designer, highlighted the Raptor’s rugged appeal: “The V6 version of the Shelby Raptor is available with up to 550 horsepower and has a long list of features that will impress any enthusiast. And for the ultra-serious off-roader, the Shelby edition Raptor R boasts over 900 horsepower from the same engine that powered the recent generation Ford Shelby GT500.”

The Shelby Baja Raptor takes the iconic Ford F-150 Raptor to the next level. With its heavy-duty suspension and race-proven FOX Live Valve system, this truck is built to handle the toughest terrains. The system provides a smooth ride on pavement while maintaining excellent control and stability at high speeds off-road.
The truck also features a range of styling upgrades that distinguish it from the standard Raptor. Functional off-road bumpers, LED lighting, Shelby stripes, and unique badges give it a bold look. Inside, Shelby’s attention to detail is evident, with leather seats, customized dashboard, and Shelby floor mats, creating a high-performance interior that matches the truck’s rugged exterior.
Enhanced Performance Features
The Shelby F-150 Baja Raptor comes equipped with a 3.5-liter EcoBoost® V6 engine, modified to produce an additional 100 horsepower. Other upgrades include a lightweight hood with functional scoops, a BDS suspension lift kit, and 18-inch Shelby Raptor Flow forged wheels wrapped in 37-inch premium mud-terrain tires. Additional features such as a heat shield, extra cooling, a chase rack, and full-size spare tire mounts make this truck ready for any off-road adventure.
The V8-powered Raptor R edition goes even further with suspension and cooling modifications, plus the addition of the Shelby by Whipple supercharger and the aforementioned performance package that boosts the truck’s output to over 900 horsepower.

The 2024 Shelby Ford F-150 Baja Raptor is available at an MSRP starting at $61,995, while the Raptor R edition starts at $64,995.
