Shelby GT350 Returns for 2026 with Convertible Option and 810 Horsepower

Shelby Revives the GT350 Convertible for 2026 with Record-Breaking Power

Las Vegas, January 14, 2026 — Shelby American has officially brought back one of its most legendary nameplates for the 2026 model year, reintroducing the Shelby GT350 with an all-new convertible option. Marking six decades since Carroll Shelby first unveiled the GT350, the latest version becomes the most powerful iteration ever produced.

Under the hood, the 2026 GT350 is powered by a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 delivering up to 810 horsepower, a milestone that places it at the top of the GT350 lineage. The car will make its first public appearance at the 2026 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction, alongside other newly unveiled Shelby models.

Following its successful return in 2025, global demand for the GT350 prompted Shelby American to expand the lineup for a second consecutive year. Buyers can now choose between fastback or convertible body styles, paired with either a manual or automatic transmission, offering greater flexibility than ever before.

Development of the new GT350 involved close collaboration with performance specialists including Whipple, Borla, and Michelin, resulting in refined suspension tuning, aggressive exhaust acoustics, and sharper exterior styling. The model is available in both 480-horsepower naturally aspirated and 810-horsepower supercharged configurations.

Adding to its exclusivity, Shelby introduces a new exterior shade called “Orange Fury” for 2026 and limits total production to fewer than 1,000 street-legal vehicles. Only a small portion of those will be convertibles, making them especially rare among collectors.

Production is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2026, with sales through select Ford dealers in the United States and limited international markets across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. Each vehicle will be recorded in the official Shelby Registry and covered by a three-year or 36,000-mile warranty, while retaining Ford’s original powertrain coverage.

With its combination of heritage-inspired design, modern engineering, and unprecedented performance, the 2026 Shelby GT350 reinforces its status as a true American performance icon—reborn for a new generation of enthusiasts.
