In a bold step toward redefining EV durability and efficiency, California-based Unplugged Performance has introduced what it calls the world’s first “indestructible” wheel for Tesla’s most popular models—the Model Y, Model 3, and the upcoming Robotaxi lineup.
Dubbed the UP Forged Road Warrior (UP-RW), the wheel is crafted from lightweight forged 6061-T6 aluminum and engineered for extreme resilience, aerodynamic performance, and compatibility with Tesla’s future autonomous fleets.
What sets the UP-RW apart isn’t just its high-end materials or striking aesthetics, but its innovative features tailored to the real-world demands of daily driving, high-mileage commercial use, and autonomy. The standout detail? A replaceable Curb Guard Ring—an external, impact-absorbing aluminum ring that protects the wheel from potholes and curb strikes. Owners can replace it without dismounting the tire, and Unplugged Performance is so confident in the design that it’s backing the wheel with a lifetime structural replacement guarantee, under normal usage conditions.

From an engineering standpoint, the UP-RW competes closely with Tesla’s most aerodynamic production wheels. In CFD testing, its performance nearly matched that of Tesla’s 18-inch Photon Aero Covered wheels—coming within just 0.010 Cd of drag coefficient. The forged design incorporates a structurally integrated aerodynamic disc that reduces turbulence and improves overall vehicle efficiency, especially at highway speeds.
Importantly, the wheel is plug-and-play for Tesla Model 3 and Model Y owners with standard 19-inch or 20-inch factory setups. No extra parts or new tires are required. Offered in a two-tone Satin Black and Satin Gunmetal finish, the UP-RW is styled to complement every Tesla colorway, ensuring both form and function.
The introductory pricing begins at $2,595 for a set of 19-inch wheels and $2,995 for the 20-inch version, including billet center caps and curb guards. Unplugged Performance is offering global shipping, aiming to make the UP-RW the new gold standard for Tesla drivers around the world.
